COAT OF MANY COLORS…A Tribute to Dolly Parton

starring Jason CoZmo

Celebrity Impersonator Jason CoZmo portrays Dolly Parton while covering some of her biggest hits! The show features Dolly’s music from the 70’s to now, including Movies, Broadway, Christmas , Patriotic, Gospel songs and more while showcasing incredibly detailed recreations of both Dolly’s signature costumes and wigs she’s famous for.

Presented in a theatrical and interactive manner,  Jason performs spot on lip-sync through Dolly’s music and monologues. Throughout the show Jason takes moments to speak as himself and recruits audience members to be in an all-singing, all-dancing  show-stopping production number from “The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas.”   While Jason flawlessly recreates Dolly on stage, the audience is transported to a live concert setting full of humor, love  and authenticity. Jason’s personality, message and character are apparent during the  show as he celebrates and pays tribute to the star. As Carol Channing most famously said “Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery!”, and Dolly herself has been quoted throughout her legendary career saying, “It’s a good thing I’s born a woman, or I would have definitely been a Drag Queen!”

When asked why he put this show together, Jason said ” “It’s a very personal project. Dolly, being who she is and what she stands for are “Gospel” to me. Not only outspoken, and over the top in her look and humor, but most importantly she has been a front runner for Diversity, Equality, Spirituality, and Love! These are all things that I stand for as well.  I grew up in conservative Utah and that’s a tough place for a young gay artist. I thank my amazing parents and Dolly herself for their message and examples of acceptance.”

Jason performs all over the USA and makes his living as a female celebrity impersonator for the past 15 years. Living as a gay man in a time of such political and social focus on the gay community and the fight, he’s faced his fair share of being different, being bullied, and being the underdog.  Just like Dolly, Jason has fought to shine and inspire. The same way Dolly has done throughout her career, the goal of Jason’s show is to not only entertain, but to spread a message of diversity and love. The concert brings people of every walk of life together. From conservative Salt Lake City Utah to the uninhibited shores of Fire Island New York,  the show draws crowds of men and women, gay and straight,  diverse ethnicities and kids from 21-80!  There’s something for everyone in this show. Jason laughs saying, “When you bring a conservative, non-drinking, Mormon Bishop and his family, sit them next to a group of drag queens, and everyone has a great time? …you’re doing something right!
